The programme aims to strengthen the Department of Water Affairs' professional and
technical capacity and strategies for promoting and implementing sustainable rural
water supply.
The programme is implemented in South Africa by: The Council for Geoscience, The
Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, and The Mvula Trust.
The implementing agents develop strategies for the implementation of sustainable
community water supply from groundwater.
