| The major River
in the B4 sub-drainage region is the Steelpoorte River and its smaller tributaries.
The
Steelpoort River approximately forms the Western border of the region. The
Spekboom River drains the eastern part of the region and has its origin
near the town of Lydenburg, and flows into the Steelpoort River near the end of
the region. The Dwars River drains the area between the Steelpoort and
Spekboom River. The main reservoir of this area is the Buffelskloof Dam and is situated in the Dwars
River.
The main features in this area are agriculture, low Industrial development, various mining activities, residential areas and tourism. |
