Compliance, Monitoring & Enforcement

A Water Services Sector Support Programme was initiated by DWAF with the support of donors. Built on the foundation laid by DWAF with the support of donors. Built on the foundation laid by DWAF in the rural water supply and sanitation delivery. It was called Masibambane – meaning lets work together in isiZulu – to mark a shift from nationally driven water and sanitation delivery to the building of a decentralized sector, with improved integration and coordination.

This initial focus is on three provinces – the Eastern Cape, Kwa-Zulu Natal and Limpopo – where 80% of the national water supply and sanitation delivery backlog lies.
